Color Trends | Spring & Summer

Pantone Spring 2018 colors // I am OBSESSED with the New York Spring 2018 colors (there is a trend forecast for London as well)! I didn't include all of the colors from the Pantone forecast, but I picked a few of my favorites to share with you. (You can see all of the colors through the link.) I wanted to pick some of the more off-beat colors to show you how I am DYING to incorporate them into my beauty looks this spring and summer. (I'm not going to go into clothing... but I'd wear Lime Punch EVERYDAY.)

This Pantone color is Arcadia. COULD YOU JUST DIE? I love using this type of color as a pop on the lower lash line. You can line your water line (or the inside of your lash line) with a liner and then smoke the color out with a powder shadow.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Deep End // I don't personally have this eyeliner, but it is on my wishlist, especially after seeing this Pantone color. This liner won't budge or rub off of your water line.

Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette (Pool Party & Jada) // Swipe into one of the very bottom, left pans to amp up your spring looks with Arcadia!

These Pantone colors are Spring Crocus and Pink Lavender... DROOLING. Purple is not usually the first color people tend towards in their makeup, so I want to share a couple of ways I'm going to bring it into my looks!

MAC Lipstick in 4EVA // MAC in 4EVA is my dream lip color. It's one of the first things I'm going to pick up from Sephora this spring!

Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Boheme // I LOVE Stila glitter shadows and this color is not shocking or overwhelming. It would be perfect all over the lid or just as a pop of shimmery goodness in your inner corner.

MAC Lipstick Love & Cherished // Have you ever used cream blushes? I love them for a bright, dewy, natural glow! How about using a lipstick for blush? GASP! It's actually a great way to use less common blush colors for your cheeks. Just rub your finger on the lipstick to warm up the product, then dab your finger on your cheeks. Applying with your fingers vs. a brush or sponge allows for the product to warm up and is MUCH easier to apply!

These Pantone colors are Sailor Blue and Little Boy Blue. Light blue is a very springy color... but navy? IN MAKEUP?! That's right, I'm going there.

Lipsense in Midnight Muse // Dark lips are a favorite of mine, and they don't need to lay in wait for the winter months! Doing a dark lip (in an unexpected color like navy) can be the perfect way to change up your nighttime looks during the summer. Let loose for date night (but maybe not at the office)!

Loreal Voluminous Mascara in Cobalt Blue // Blue mascara is a great way to make your eyes pop! I like to do a wash of cobalt shadow on my lower lash line and use blue mascara on my lower lashes to intensify the color.

Essie nail polish in Salt Water Happy // I can't get over pastel nails! If navy lips are a little too much for you, try hitting your Pantone quota by incorporating a light blue in your mani and pedi!
